LinkED To Shore Up Strategies For Grants and Monthly Giving

After working collaboratively with several LinkED staff and board members through various education and workforce development initiatives, we are thrilled that LinkED reached out to Project Partners for fundraising consulting, with an eye towards further developing their monthly giving program and grants support.  A Toolbox Grant from the North Texas Community Foundation makes this capacity-building work possible.

LinkED, Linking Ability to Learning, provides educational links for families of individuals with learning differences or learning disabilities such as autism, dyslexia, and ADHD, and connects educators to relevant professional development resources and adult literacy programs.  This mission makes LinkED a key piece of the educational framework of our community, touching lives across every demographic and impacting many other instructional programs - public and private.

It is so fun to see a former educator succeed as a nonprofit executive, (it’s not an easy transition for some) and look to bolster fundraising strategies.  We look forward to this good work together.

Methodist Justice Ministry Gains Mentorship For New Development Director

Methodist Justice Ministry was founded in 2006 to provide legal services and ongoing support, at no charge, to victims of traumatic domestic violence and neglect. The current Development Director is new to her role, but not to the organization or mission. To provide her with the tools she needs, the savvy board of directors committed to her professional development through a coaching relationship with Project Partners.  They understand that her success will equate to the mission’s success.  We will be providing mentorship related to fundraising, donor stewardship, and board engagement that will add capacity now and create a roadmap for the future, building on strengths that already exist within the organization and her personal skill set.

We are excited for the opportunity to work with a nonprofit professional, already familiar with the mission and work of the organization, while also eager to hone her skills as a fundraiser.

Good things come to those who train!

Samaritan House Seeks Added Capacity for Fundraising

Samaritan House has experienced compounding challenges in the last few years beginning with the 2020 pandemic, followed by damage from 2021 winter storms, and significant staff turnover in 2022. Despite all of this, organizational leadership is still focused on providing outstanding housing programs, including a significant expansion with the purchase of new property.

Project Partners will be providing fundraising consulting, made possible by a ToolBox Grant from the North Texas Community Foundation, that will add capacity for success to the one-person development department. Our work together will focus on helping to close out a capital campaign in the short term, to take advantage of a unique opportunity to collaborate with community partners on the purchase of additional housing units. To ensure long-term success, we will finish our engagement by developing a 12-month fundraising strategy that will provide a roadmap for years to come.

What are you doing to ensure that your organization has a clear path toward success?

Building a Nest

Since 2016, Justin’s Place has worked to help families walk out of generational poverty by providing long-term services to both mothers and children that includes youth programming, mentoring, basic support services, and more. The organization has plans to add transitional housing services for single mother-led families with the construction of The Nest.  Thanks to the generosity of the community, the capital campaign was nearing completion, but was stalled by the pandemic.

Thanks to a ToolBox Grant from the North Texas Community Foundation, we have been invited to work with Justin’s Place to provide grant and fundraising coaching to organizational staff, including the Executive Director, Program Director, and key board volunteer, with an eye toward completing the capital campaign and expanding the organization’s capacity to raise operating funds for Justin’s Place programming.

The goal of closing out the campaign for The Nest is within reach and we are so happy to be partnering with them to help not only cross the finish line, but to also develop a fundraising plan that will support on-site programming well into the future.

Lucky #13 it is!

Lucky #13 it is!

June 1 marked the beginning of a thirteenth year of work together with the HEB ISD Education Foundation, and we are proud to be teaming again with this thriving nonprofit whose sole mission is to support HEB ISD’s excellence in education.  We’ve had the pleasure to serve education foundations in Irving, Fort Worth, Plano, Birdville, Marble Falls, and Arlington, but few compare with the outstanding board, community, donor, and district engagement found within the HEB ISD Education Foundation

Through more than a decade of work together, Project Partners has helped provide consistent results through three superintendents, six board chairs, and now thirteen volunteer boards of directors.  How lucky are we?
