Lucky #13 it is! 

 June 1 marked the beginning of a thirteenth year of work together with the HEB ISD Education Foundation, and we are proud to be teaming again with this thriving nonprofit whose sole mission is to support HEB ISD’s excellence in education.  We’ve had the pleasure to serve education foundations in Irving, Fort Worth, Plano, Birdville, Marble Falls, and Arlington, but few compare with the outstanding board, community, donor, and district engagement found within the HEB ISD Education Foundation. 

 Through more than a decade of work together, Project Partners has helped provide consistent results through three superintendents, six board chairs, and now thirteen volunteer boards of directors.  How lucky are we? 

PROJECT PARTNERS’ WORK EXPANDING TO TCC SOUTH AND TCC SOUTHEAST

After a similar assignment for Tarrant County College (TCC) Northeast, Project Partners will be working with campus leaders at Tarrant County College (TCC) South and Tarrant County College (TCC) Southeast to provide consulting for their recognized IDD (Intellectual or Development Disabilities) Programs.   Always seeking to best meet the needs of their communities, they have asked us to reach out to stakeholder groups to collect and compile information on current program delivery, liken to best practices and state standards, and provide program review findings for ongoing strategic planning and continuous improvement. 

With a specialty in education and workforce development, we find it a real privilege to continue to serve TCC, and are also very appreciative of the collaborative work over more than two decades.

Operation Progress Fort Worth to Set Strategic Direction

Operation Progress Fort Worth (OPFW) empowers underserved youth to become educated, ethical, and productive adults who reach their full potential and positively contribute to society.   Their model, replicated from Operation Progress LA, partners with the Fort Worth Police Department (FWPD) and supports their Scholars from 3rd grade to college and/or career.  

A recipient of a Funding to Advance Racial Equity (FARE) grant from the North Texas Community Foundation (NTCF), OPFW Executive Director, Dr. Myeshia Smith, and her dedicated board will build on their success to date as we help them establish their first official strategic plan, with a special emphasis on the focus area of fundraising.    

Project Partners was founded in 1995 on Project C3: Classrooms-Corporations-Community and collaborative community programs serving children, youth, and families remain among our favorite causes to advance. It’s an honor to support Operation Progress Fort Worth.

The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation is Taking Hope on the Road

To raise awareness of suicide prevention, The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation’s 2022 Light the Trail cycling event will include an 1800 mile journey down the Mississippi valley - from Lake Itasca, Minnesota to New Orleans, Louisiana.  Cyclists plan to blaze a new trail of hope and bring about conversations along the route that will educate, inspire, and encourage discussion.  To help further that effort, the leadership of The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation (JEHF) reached out to Project Partners for help with the coordination of these “Let’s Talk” meet and greet outreach events. 

Using the outreach data collected to date, we will work to make connections in each desired location to identify a champion host and conversation-starter, plus set the logistics for the sites, allowing The JEHF staff and volunteer team to focus on the media relations, fundraising, and ride details.  This will be our third assignment with The JEHF, following the facilitation of a strategic planning board retreat and a staff work session which focused on team strengths and virtual office efficiencies.  

Too many of us have lost loved ones to suicide. The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation provides suicide prevention training and education for children and adults, as well as depression research funding.   Please consider supporting their mission today!
