North Texas Community Foundation (NTCF), based in downtown Fort Worth, is adding a new staff member to their professional team - a Philanthropic Services Coordinator. $200,000 Grant Announced at Friends' Sunset Event

Perfect weather and breathtaking views greeted each guest of the Friends of the Fort Worth Nature Center (FONC) at their inaugural Sunset Event, co-chaired by George Bristol and Marty Leonard.  Honoring Ralph Duggins, Chairman of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission, the event raised community awareness and funds to help preserve, protect and conserve the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge for future generations.  A $200,000 Recreational Trails Grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife was announced – the first grant to Fort Worth in many years.  We are so privileged to work with Executive Director, Haily Summerford, and her board during this important time in the life of FONC.  

United Way of Tarrant County - Northeast Presents 26th Annual Report to the Community

Ellen Jones, Chair of the United Way NE Steering Committee served as emcee for this report-out event at the Hurst Conference Center. While education and health care remain top priorities for our community, as evidenced by UNTHSC’s community assessment results, transportation was the key focus of this year’s Community Report. Fred Schmidt - TCC Northeast Campus, Oscar Trevino - Mayor of the City of North Richland Hills and Glenn Isbell - Bell, served on the panel to speak to “Innovations in Transportation”. We are grateful for United Way (a client and collaborator) who serves Northeast Tarrant County and beyond.

Birdville ISD Education Foundation Board Renews Partnership

Following organizational development and strategic planning during our first nine months of work together, the Birdville ISD Education Foundation board renewed an agreement with Project Partners for their 2018-2019 fiscal year. Our work together will support the Birdville ISD Education Foundation’s mission to enhance innovative learning and support the educational excellence of Birdville ISD and will include consulting and project management services in the areas of nonprofit administration/strategic planning, community relations and communications, fundraising, events management, program development, and board and committee engagement.

North Texas Giving Day Philanthro-Party

A fun crowd of 500 nonprofits and cause champions attended the Tarrant County Philanthro-PARTY produced by the North Texas Community Foundation, with the help of Project Partners. The event, a kick-off to North Texas Giving Day, took place in Fort Worth at our host site, Shipping & Receiving, and featured entertainment by renowned singer-songwriter Hayes Carll.  Every guest, greeted by WORTH volunteers, also enjoyed a free burger meal, compliments of the In-N-Out® Cookout Trailer, Alchemy Pops (who generously provided the first 150 for free as well as donated 20% of the evening’s proceeds) and social media awareness via Cloud Booth Fort Worth. North Texas Giving Day, powered by Communities Foundation of Texas, is an online giving event designed to empower every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits and causes they care about.
