8/24/10 Project Partners welcomed Community Food Bank as a new client. Community Food Bank, feeding hope and feeding families, has re-emerged as a strong community resource providing critical services to many in need. Project Partners will help them position to successfully engage the community in their mission.
8/20/10 Lerii F. Smith provided an in-service to the extraordinary Key School educational team. The topic of conversation included engaging community as a critical component to increasing community profile, engaging volunteer resources and increasing the donor base. 8/19/10 Lerii F. Smith served as a presenter for the DOVIA of Tarrant County Professional Development Workshop, held at the Women’s Center. in Fort Worth. Lerii presented "Volunteers. You can’t live with them. You can’t live without them." to about fifty professionals whose responsibilities include recruiting, training, managing, and retaining key volunteer resources for their organizations. DOVIA stands for Directors of Volunteers in Agencies. Contact us for more information about this great group. 7/08/10 The Office of Alumni Relations at TCU returned to Project Partners as a client. Lerii F. Smith will help facilitate a year-long strategic planning process, engaging key volunteer leadership throughout.
6/28/10 Project Partners was recognized in the Fort Worth Business Press List of Tarrant County Area Advertising and PR Firms. We specialize in community relations and community engagement.
6/24/10 Project Partners served as a Track Sponsor and Exhibitor for the DFW AFP Philanthropy Conference held in Arlington at the Arlington Convention Center. Nonprofit executives and development professionals from across North Texas gathered for a day of professional development and networking.
6/3/10 Project Partners welcomed Fort Worth Academy as a new client. Fort Worth Academy, founded in 1982, is a vibrant, co-educational, private, independent K-8 day school located in Southwest Fort Worth, and is depending on Project Partners to manage five key community and development initiatives, partnering with their wonderful staff and volunteer teams.
6/1/10 Project Partners helped design, develop and implement First Command Educational Foundation’s community introduction and donor recognition event for Money Matters at the First Command Financial Services Fort Worth headquarters. First Command pledged $250,000 to the foundation to support the Money Matters financial literacy curriculum program, designed to help school districts respond to the legislative mandate to teach financial literacy before high school graduation.
6/1/10 The Key School, dedicated to providing individualized instruction in a unique 4:1 student/ teacher ratio learning environment, is considering a new building. Key School hired Project Partners for a capital campaign feasibility study. That report is due September 30, 2010.
5/15/10 Lerii F. Smith presented training sessions to the Gladney Family Association volunteer leadership from across the country during the annual volunteer retreat at the Gladney campus. Topics included volunteer engagement and event management.
4/29/10 Fort Worth Sister Cities International returned as a client. Project Partners will help execute the traditional Mayor’s International Dinner, but with a 2010 twist. This year, the event is Dancing with the Sister Cities Stars, and will feature community and corporate leaders (you’ll recognize them all) in this contest that will raise important funds for this great nonprofit that takes the U.S. abroad and brings the world back home.
4/15/10 Lerii F. Smith presented a training session, “Volunteers. You can’t live with them. You can’t live without them.” to the members of the Tarrant Independent School Consortium (TISC) at the Southwest Christian Elementary School campus. Project Partners has the privilege of working with TISC on the Private School Preview, scheduled at TCU on October 3, 2010.
4/13/10 Lerii F. Smith led a working session with Camp Fire USA First Texas Council program staff, digging deeper into volunteer engagement best practices like identification and recruitment. This followed an introductory session on volunteer engagement during a March 8 staff retreat.
4/12/10 Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T) hired Project Partners to facilitate five Community Conversations, important to the strategic planning process for the board of directors and planning team, then extended the work to include three additional sessions.
4/12/10 Lerii F. Smith coordinated and facilitated “Speed Mentoring” for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Fort Worth Chapter luncheon. Lerii serves as VP of Membership for AFP.
4/10/10 Safe City Commission Inc.’s Safe City Ball-game and Imagine No Violence Arts Contest Recognition Event occurred simultaneously at the Ballpark in Arlington, under Project Partners’ direction, and in cooperation with the Texas Rangers. Clint Black in concert headlined the fun, interactive evening for the Ball-game corporate and community leaders, and art contest winners and their families were treated to high profile stadium recognition, plenty of good food, and a great Texas Rangers ball game.
4/9/10 Project Partners client and project, the Fort Worth CVB Advance Fort Worth, hit the $500,000 mark of cash and in-kind support. The Advance Fort Worth program attracts financial support and off-sets expenses, while creating valuable community relationships.
4/6/10 Project Partners was one of the three spotlighted businesses at the “Super Bowl XLV: Emerging Business Workshop III: The Draft” in Dallas. Project Partners was one of the first approved, certified, small businesses in the Super Bowl vendor database.
3/22/10 Project Partners welcomed The Gladney Center for Adoption as a new client. The Gladney Center is an adoption pioneer and a leading voice for improving lives of children, adoptive families and women planning adoption.
3/15/10 Camp Fire USA-First Texas Council’s new Corporate Committee for Quality Child Care established a first-ever child care network model pilot with Pier I and TCU as the first corporate partners. TCC is on deck to join the network as well this summer or fall. Project Partners had the privilege of consulting with the staff in the process of identifying, recruiting, and managing this new volunteer team and prospective network members.
3/11/10 Project Partners welcomed First Command Educational Foundation as a new client. First Command Educational Foundation promotes and provides education as the foundation to a productive society through scholarship and financial literacy programs.
2/25/10 Project Partners was recognized as one of twelve finalists for the Fort Worth Chamber’s Small Business of the Year Awards, presented by American National Bank of Texas.
2010 began with Project Partners being named a Small Business of the Year finalist by the Fort Worth Chamber. We have welcomed returning and new clients who work to improve our community. Our projects continue to build relationships, raise money, and exceed goals.
